Great treat alert!

Hand up who loves a treat? Me, me, me!!!! And one that I really like is to find a great little present attached to my fav magazine (Elle, InStyle and Glamour in this love order).

So if you love a treat too and live in the UK head quickly to your newsagent and get this month's InStyle mag. They got three different nails inc. polishes to choose from in lovely summery shades that are perfect addition to this season's pastels trend. I got Peach Sorbet and I love it :)

Dear all, I've been away from my computer for too long but there is a reason for my absence. I'm pregnant with our second baby. 14 weeks gone. For the past two months I wasn't keen to do much more than sleep but that stage is gone and now I feel like I can move mountains (comparing to previous months that is).
But from the moment I found out about pregnancy I knew what I'm going to do on my blog. I intend to prove that you don't need to spend a penny for maternity wear (except for underwear and a pair or two of trousers - no matter how much lycra there is in your skinnies you cant stretch it that far). I'm lucky as I don't have to worry about winter clothes which would be a bit more tricky but anyway, I'm going to try and show you how to shop in your normal way and end up with clothes that you'll be able to wear after pregnancy (without looking like you are wearing a tent).

And to all the girls that are not pregnant (the majority of my lovely readers) - I promise not to bore you about my state - Fashionholic is a fashion blog and so it will stay :)

And if someone is interested in how to shop avoiding maternity wear departments, here is couple of ideas:

• always look for fabric with lot of stretch that can grow and shrink with you
• don't be afraid of clothes that will accentuate your figure - it's possibly the only time where you don't have to be self-conscious about bumps and lumps ;)
• all throughout pregnancy you can look as fashionable/ sexy/ edgy/ trendy etc. as before

Smokey eyes

As you might know from my older post I always like to have my eye make up quite strong. I'm not as bothered about lips but eyes must be visibly "enhanced". So here is my quick and easy steps to "smokey eyes" efect


Jak moze wam juz wiadomo z wczesniejszego postu w makijazu zawsze wybieram podkreslone oczy. Nie potrzebuje malowac ust, ale moje oczy musza byc zawsze dosyc "mocne". Przedstawiam zatem moj sposob na "smokey eyes"


STEP 1 / KROK 1

Use black eyeliner to contour your eyes. Try to do top line as close to the eyelashes as possible and do bottom line on the outside, blending with eyelashes stop it where your pupil ends - don't follow the whole line. I use Benefit Bad Gal Liner with a blending tip.

Uzyj czarnej kredki do obrysowania oka. Sprobuj zrobic gorna kreske jak najblizej linii rzes a dolna na zewnatrz linii oka. Narysuj dolna kreske tylko do punktu, gdzie konczy sie zrenica a nie obrysowuj calego oka. Ja uzywam Benefit Bad Gal Liner z gabka do rozprowadzania kredki na drugim koncu.

STEP 2 / KROK 2

I use two eyeshadows - grey and black. Use grey for the whole eye socket (up to the crease, never all the way to your eyebrows) making sure that the eyeliner is covered and trace gently bottom line as well. Then use black shadow to do a V shape on the outer corner of the eye - use thin, slanted brush if you feel bit too heavy handed - making sure that bottom line covers about half of lashline and top line goes exactly in the crease (you can do the top line with open eye, the brush will just follow the natural crease) also covering about half of yor eye.

I used Sephora colorful 9 eyeshadows set in Luxe Noir

Ja uzywam dwoch cieni do tego kroku - szarego i czarnego. Uzyj szarego na cala gorna powieke (ale tylko do lini zalamania powieki, nigdy az pod brwi) upewniajac sie, ze pomalawalas rowniez kreske eyelinera oraz delikatnie obrysuj dolna kreske. Nastepnie uzyj czarnego cienia do stworzenia efektu litery V w zewnetrznym kaciku oka. Dolna linia powinna siegac niecalej polowy oka a gorna powinna "siedziec" dokladnie w zalamaniu powieki (mozesz to latwo zrobic malujac otwarte oko, wtedy pedzelek dokladnie sledzi znaturane zalamanie) i rowniez pomaluj do polowy oka.

Ja uzylam zestawu Sephora colorful 9 w Luxe Noir

STEP 3 / KROK 3

Finish with generous dose od mascara to frame youe eyes. I used two - Rimmel Volume Flash Max and Rimmel Scandaleyes.

Zakoncz duza porcja maskary, aby "obramowac" oko. Ja uzylam dwie - Rimmel Volume Flash Max i Rimmel Scandaleyes.

Nail It

As you probably noticed I usually like my nail varnish to be bright, colourful and stand-out a bit. But this time when I was looking through my little bottles I decided to go for a classic deep burgundy with just a little twist on my ring finger. But to be completely honest I wasn't too happy with it - to achieve the proper full coverage and depth of the colour I had to do FOUR layers! Too time consuming. But to be fair, the varnish dried very quickly (even with such a thick layer) and is holding nicely with minimal chipping. Nails Inc varnishes are definitely worth having in your collection.


Jak juz pewnie zauwazylyscie(liscie) przewaznie wybieram jasne, rzucajace sie w oczy kolory na moje paznokcie. Ale przegladajac moja mini kolekcje  tym razem zdecydowalam sie na klasyczny, ciemny burgund, z malym upiekrzeniem na jednym paznokciu. Ale szczerze mowiac, nie bylam zadowolona z wyniku - aby otrzymac odpowiedni kolor i pelne, rowne pokrycie musialam pomalowac CZTERY warstwy! Zbyt czasochlonne. Co jednak zaskoczylo mnie pozytywnie to fakt, ze lakier wysechl niemal zupelnie w dosyc krotkim czasie i utrzymuje sie bez wiekszych uszczerbkow. Polecam.
