One year too late

I just bought a fab pair of cobalt blue trousers. They tap into "luxe sport" trend. I know, I know, whole year too late but they feel (and look, I think) great so I will be  sporting (pun intended) them for sure.

Freeeezing Easter

Happy Easter everybody, hope you are having lovely, warm family time.

Winter florals

After very long time the sun finally came out and that prompted some more cheerful outfit. I was even considering putting on my pink pumps but it might have been a bit too much for the first day of sun. So I wore my neon necklace. To the park. Oh yes.

Neon pink + grey

 

Aaaahhhh.... The perfect combination. Neon pink and grey just go so well together. And I love the combination of statement necklace in vivid pink on a background of plain grey T-shirt. Best way to turn casual into eveningwear or as an excuse to wear your favourite OTT jewelery as a daytime look. Win - win situation

Winter wonderland

Here we go, that one day a year has finally come - snow day, when everything is covered with couple of centimeters of snow, everybody is going mad with the idea of getting "snowed up" (yup, in UK you can get snowed up with 10cm of snow ;)) ).
So this is my chance of getting my fab coat on. It's my great charity shop find, bought it this autumn for a tenner (yes, that's £10!!!). Goes to show that little rummage in your local charity shop can bring very interesting finds AND your money goes to a good cause. What more can you ask for?

New year, new things

Hello! It's been a while but I'm back :) So couple of things happened since my last post - I had a beautiful baby girl (she's 9 weeks already!), there wasn't the end of the world (21/12/2012 anyone? :)  ), and as we entered new year 2013... sales started!!! :))

So these are my latest sale purchase - Bag from TKMaxx, trousers and both pairs of shoes from H&M, sunglasses from ASOS. I got them all way below original price and I know that they will be bang on trend come spring/summer.

So what should you look for in sales to be trendy next season?

• all things neon, best in accessories
• pointy toe court shoes
• floral patterns
• pastels

Fortunately, all these trends were big last year and will be next so if you had your eye on something from S/S 12 collection but didn't buy it, there is a big chance it is now on sale and for more than half price you will be sporting it during S/S 13

Zebra crossing

Now I start feeling (and looking) like a beached whale and there is still nearly 3 months to go... Oh well, the least I can do is find a dress for a fiver (oh yes, great sales and still no maternity wear in sight) and pretend I don't wobble like a duck when I walk.


Nadszedl ten moment, kiedy zaczelam czuc sie (i wygladac) jak slon morski, a zostaly mi jeszcze niecale 3 miesiace... No coz, jedyne co moge zrobic to znalezc sukienke za grosze (ta kosztowala ok 25 zl - kto nie kocha przecen?) i udawac, ze nie kolysze sie jak kaczka kiedy chodze ;)

Oh and this bag is my absolute favourite at the moment - I love the laser cut design with neon pink peeping through.

And when I don't want to look too pregnant...

Then I wear my "you can't tell what is hiding under all those pleats" top. Here I put it together with a boob tube that I wear as a skirt creating an outfit I can wear on, say, a date night with my husband :) (we will actually have one or two next month when my Mum is staying with us for couple of weeks-yay!)


Ten top to moj sposob na nie wygladanie bardzo ciazowo. Trudno stwierdzic, co sie dzieje pod  tymi wszystkimi plisami. Tu zestawilam go ze spodniczka ktora tak na prawde jest bluzka-tuba, ale zupelnie nie nadaje sie do zamierzonego celu. A gdzie moge sie tak ubrac? Mam nadzieje, ze na randke z mezem, ktora to planujemy za miesiac, kiedy to moja Mama zostaje z nami przez pare tygodni. Coz, w zwiazku z dzieckiem/dziecmi nie ma za duzo miejsca na spontan ;)

Neon stripes

I saw this tunic in River Island hanging on a sale rack (!!! thanks to this dreadful, wash-out weather shops are putting lots of summer stuff on sale, yay!) and I snapped it right away, ignoring all the alarm bells in head saying "vertical stripes, vertical stripes!". And I love it.


Zobaczylam te tunike w River Island na wyprzedazy (!!! dzieki okropnie mokrej i zimnej aurze - niestety, nie mamy tu takich cudnych upalow jak w Polsce :(((((, sklepy wystawiaja wiele letnich rzeczy na wyprzedazy- hurrra!) i ignorujac wszytkie alarmy w mojej glowie krzyczace "poprzeczne pasy, poprzeczne pasy!" chwycilam ja szybciutko i od tygodnia ja uwielbiam.

Not sure what is going on with my legs here...

Tunic River Island, Clutch Primark, Shoes TKMaxx - they are becoming a steady favourite, you'll definately get to see them more often :)

Old things, new tricks

I do admire people who can do a good DIY job. Regardless if it's doing something in your house, your garden or with your clothes. Obviously the latter gets most of my attention. I love it when someone can take some old, forgotten piece out of their wardrobe and revamp it to have something interesting, wearable, one-of-a-kind and beautiful. And sometimes in a moment of sheer madness I have a go myself, sometimes even with positive results. So here are results of my latest attempt:


Podziwiam ludzi, ktorzy posiedli sztuke "zrob to sam", niezaleznie, czy jest to cos w domu, na ogrodzie czy w szafie. Oczywiscie to otatnie interesuje mnie najbardziej. Bardzo podoba mi sie, gdy ktos potrafi wziac cos starego, zapomnianego z glebi szafy i zamienic to w cos ciekawego, jedynego w swoim rodzaju i pieknego. A czasem w chwili szalenstwa sama zabieram sie za nozyczki, igle i nitke i trzymam kciuki, zeby wyszlo cos lepszego niz przed "poprawkami". Oto rezultat mojej ostatniej proby:

So what changed? I chopped off the skirt's front changing it from plain long skirt into "dipped hem" one (or mullet skirt - that really is what this shape remids me of ;)  ) and got rid of that fringe from the ankle tie. Much better.

Wiec co sie zmienilo? Odcielam polowe dlugosci z przodu spodniczki zamieniajac ja ze zwyklej, o nudnej dlugosci, w bardzo modny w tym sezonie ksztalt na "czeskiego pilkarza" a z butow odcielam fredzelki. Proste I (mam nadzieje) efektowne.
